I created Bumble & Bea to create a welcoming, inclusive to all, safe space where you can wind down, recharge, bond with your baby without the pressures of the outside world, meet other parents in the local area and have a warm drink and a sweet treat during the session.
Bumble&Bea is run by me, Bea. I am half Portuguese and half Cornish, mother of two and a Midwife. From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a midwife, which saw me head to Birmingham City university in 2008. I qualified in 2011 and have spent my career working in all departments of midwifery. I am currently based in Swindon as a community midwife. Being a community midwife has given me the opportunity to met many people from all over the world, with different social backgrounds and religions, beliefs and cultures. I am currently trying to expand my knowledge on how I can support the LGBTQ+ and the BAME communities as a Midwife and a baby class teacher.
